This post is regarding the SSDT (SQL Server Data Tools), which is used for development of SQL Server. The SSDT is replacing the BIDS studio, but it is slightly different from existing BIDS. The advantages of SSDT are,

- Compatible with From SQL Server 2005 Onwards
- The Only tool support SQL Server 2012 and SQL Azure
Here I am presenting a link for SSDT(Link) by Gert Draper – Program Manager in Microsoft. This is a good start to know about SSDT tool. I hope this tool will replace SSMS in the upcoming versions. it is just a guess.
